The relationship between Core and Faceoff Factory is built on more than just partnership. Sam and Joe became friends for life after Sam spent a summer living with Joe and learning how to face off, an experience that shaped his understanding of the position and the level of detail it truly requires.
That foundation shows up in everything Core does with faceoff athletes. Faceoff Factory is something Core believes every faceoff athlete should have in their tool bag. Justin Lappen - President
Justin Lappen is the President of FOURG Athletics, Core Lacrosse Events’ exclusive partner for Strategic Event Outfitting.
What started in a college dorm room in 2009 as a passion project has grown into a nationwide company serving thousands of programs, built on late nights, small print runs, and a commitment to doing things the right way from the start, just like Core Lacrosse Events.
Through FOURG, Justin leads the delivery of everything needed to run an event at the highest standards, including apparel, helmet decals, and coaches gear. FOURG is proudly American made, a standard the company has stayed true to as it has grown, prioritizing quality, consistency, and service at every level.
A former collegiate lacrosse player at Kean University, Justin understands the game from the inside and brings that perspective into his work every day. He has been a close friend of Core founder Sam Oltmans for years, and their relationship is built on a shared belief in doing things the right way instead of doing what is fast or cheap. That mindset continues to drive both FOURG and its partnership with Core.
Lax Lab
Jules Heningburg - Founder / President
Lax Lab is one of the top player development platforms in the game, founded by Jules Heningburg and built around elite training, mentorship, and a complete approach to developing lacrosse athletes.
From weekly training and small group sessions to position-specific work and off-field mentorship, Lax Lab focuses on helping players train smarter, compete harder, and maximize their potential.
As Jules’ teammate at Rutgers, Sam saw firsthand the work he put into his game every day and the level of detail he brings to his training. That experience created a deep respect for Jules’ understanding of what it truly takes to become elite at the next level.
What started as teammates quickly turned into a lasting friendship, and that relationship is a big part of the connection between Core and Lax Lab. There is a shared belief in developing players the right way, with purpose, structure, and accountability.

Make Cool Sh*t is the creative engine behind the Core brand, led by Founder and Creative Director Drew O'Brien.
Every piece of the Core identity you have experienced came out of MCS. The logo on the helmet decal. The words on this page. The video that stopped your scroll. Drew and his team built the brand from the ground up, designed the website you are reading right now, and produce all of Core's content.
The partnership goes deeper than creative work. MCS approaches every brand the way Core approaches every event: with intention, a clear point of view, and zero shortcuts.
